Talks and Slide Presentations

Two members of the Committee of the Trust are prepared to give presentations to Rotary Clubs, Women's Institutes and similar bodies about the county's heritage of historic churches. Details are as follows:

"Preserving our heritage"

In this presentation, Peter Clarke, for many years Treasurer of the Trust, describes some of the wonderful religious buildings in Staffordshire and outlines the aims and work of the Trust. Peter Clark illustrates his talk with numerous slides, to illustrate parish church buildings in Staffordshire, many of them past beneficiaries of the Trust's help.

"Centuries in Gothic"

Would you like to know a little more about the churches you visit? In his talk Robin Draper will provide the audience an idea of stylistic features to look for when visiting parish churches, concentrating on the period before "Strawberry Hill" gothic. This time the slides are used to give examples of features from the 12th to the 16th centuries which may be found locally.
